To decorate a T-shirt with your favorite print is not difficult but it is not cheap, you have to spend some money first. It's fun to make a T-shirt after your own taste, today we do Miffy. Please note you may make a craft for yourself but you can not make T-shirts to sell with sombody else's drawing.
How to make a Miffy T-shirt
Start by tracing a picture
Cut out the parts.
Glue the back of the parts.
Stick the parts on black (shiny side).
Cut out the parts.
Pull off the paper.
We do have five parts.
We miss the arm.
Trace the arm and cut out.
Trace the hand and cut out.
Stick on black and cut out.
Cut off all black outlines.
Stick the parts on the right colours.
Cut out all loose parts.
This is how Miffy should look.
First we wash the new T-shirt before we iron on Miffy. When the shirt is dry we iron the place where Miffy will be so the glue sticks better. Only then we put the black parts on the shirt, shiny side up and we cover them with waxed paper. Press the iron onto the picture.
Place the coloured parts exactly onto the black parts and watch out to not move the parts while ironing. You prevent this by lifting and replacing the iron, not sliding it. Press the edges on firmly.
Turn the iron to cotton max. and let it get really hot before you start to iron. Iron the picture with pressure for 15-20 seconds.
Remove the plastic layer when completely cooled, then turn the shirt inside out and iron the picture on the inside.
Let it cool completely then gently remove the plastic.
Arrange the coloured parts on the black, repeat the entire process.
Then the arm and the string, first in black then the blue with the white hand.
Finaly a black cross nose and black eyes.
Somebody is very happy with his new shirt!
