What do you need?
an empty bottle (plastic for little ones)
water
drop of blue colouring
15x15 cm thin fabric
cotton thread
scissors + children's scissors
Above on the right side you see the beautiful real yellyfish. Here is how you make your own jellyfish, to keep at home.
Fill a bottle with water, add the blue colouring and shake it well.
The shaking of a bottle coloured water is already fun for 3 - 4 year olds.
Cut a piece of fabric of 15x15 cm and gather it in the middle.
Lay a loop around the 'head' together, little ones need some help with this.
Wrap the thread around the neck of the jellyfish and tie it off.
The little ones can cut the tentacles all by themselves.
De older kids may have a glass bottle, for little ones we prefer plastic.
Push the jellyfish in the bottle and turn it upside down and back again, then it will float gracefully in the water.
