Lately we spent a lot of time in waiting areas so we leafed through a lot of magazines. What struck me is that in all kinds of magazines I see chairs or stools with half painted legs. A very cute idea!
The rough wooden stool Oddvar is made by Ikea and costs 8.99 euro. The white waterbased Eco paint - quick drying and odorless - you find at Praxis for 19.99 euro. We used warm white 9003, satin.
Stool oddvar, bolts etc included.
Stir the paint really well.
Unwrap all componants.
Paint the upside of the seat thinly.
Paint all upsides and sides.
Let the paint dry for two hours.
Paint the upside and sides of the legs thinly.
Then paint all undersides and let them dry for two hours.
Sand all parts very light, paint them again and let them dry.
Measure and draw lines on the leggs of the stool.
Mask the leggs of the stool with the masking tape.
Zet het krukje in elkaar en verf de poten.
Remove the tape when the paint is dry.
