We want to make Eton Mess ice cream tomorrow and you need crumbled meringue for that. Now the monsters just happen to love meringue meringues! Whether it's the nice shapes, the sweet colors or the amount of sweetness, we don't know, But even if we bake forty, we have to be careful if we want to have some tomorrow ;))
How to make meringues
Rub the bowl with lemon.
Separate the eggs.
Put the egg whites in the mixer.
Add the sugar spoon by spoon.
While the mixer is beating the egg whites, add a tablespoon of sugar at a time, until the sugar is used up and fully incorporated
Mix until soft peaks appear.
Spoon the meringue into a piping bag.
Pipe small rosettes on baking paper.
Preheat the oven to 90°C and place the meringues in the middle of the oven
Bake the meringues for 2.5 hours.
Let cool in the oven for 2.5 hours, with the oven door ajar.
The meringues taste wonderful with a cup of tea as well, happy summer!
