What do you need?
a sheet of sturdy white card stock
a pencil & a ruler
1 black permanent marker
colouring pencils or markers
scissors
doublesided adhesive tape
coloured straws
A very old fashioned toy which kids still like a lot, this optical illusion. It works so simple: roll the straw between your hands and then watch what happens :)
How to make an optical illusion
Use a puncher to press out even exact circles.
Don't have a puncher? Trace circles around a glass and cut out.
Draw animals on one side, their 'homes' on the other.
Trace your drawings with the black marker.
Fill the drawings where needed with colour.
Stick strips of double adhesive tape around the straws.
Press the circles on opposite sides of the straws.
On the one side are the animals on the other side their homes, let's roll! Have lots of fun!
