1 ripe Charentais (Cantaloupe) melon
250ml water
30g caster sugar
1 - 2 orange blossom water
To make this fragrant dessert you do not need much and the result is amazing. The Charentais melon gives the granita a stunning colour and the orange blossom gives it a subtle tropical scent. You score points with this dessert!
Cut the melon in half and scoop out the halves.
Blend the melon smooth in just a few seconds.
Add the water with the sugar and a drop of orange blossom.
Blend all until combined in a thick liquid mixture.
Pour the mixture into a freezer container.
Place the container 3 hours in the freezer.
Rake a fork through the half frozen granita.
Place the container back in the freezer, repeat the raking twice.
Serve the granita in glasses and decorate with rose petals.
