What do you need?
Christmas wrapping paper
narrow coloured paper strips
a piece cardboard of 15x15cm
a pencil and a ruler
scissors
glue stick
The snazzie monsters love folding simple origami bookmarks. They are quick and easy to make and they are often very cute! We have found two fun ones for Christmas. They are also nice little gifts, for grandmas and aunties for example. But also for little boys and girls.
Strictly speaking, it is not origami that we fold, because origami means folding and that does not involve cutting and pasting! But to make these bookmarks even more fun, we cut and paste a little on them, :))
How to make these Christmas Present bookmarks
Draw a square of 15x15cm on cardboard and cut it out.
Trace it on Christamas wrapping paper and cut it out.
Fold the gift paper square diagonally upward.
Fold both points upward toward the middle.
Fold the bookmark open again.
Fold one of the top points downward.
Then tuck the right and left point in between.
- Do mind how your pictures will look when you use the bookmark in a book, sometimes it does not matter but sometimes it does!
- It depends on the pattern on the gift wrapping paper
Now stick the ribbon on your gift
Place the bookmark how it fits.
Stick a paper strip on as a ribbon.
Stick on one more but now crosswise.
Make sure the back looks just as neatly as well.
Cut small pieces from the strip, of 8 and 10cm.
Fold the strips loosly in half but glue the ends together.
Stick the arches on the back of the presents, just like a bow.
The bookmarks are not just cute, they work well too!
We make a lot of them! They are so cute, to make and give!
Wishing you a merry Christmas time!
