Today we turn a little wooden stool into a toadstool. Then the little ones can sit on it and the stool looks much nicer in the children's room ;))
How to make the Toadstool
First we make the inner cushion: print the pattern 4 times and cut it out. Tape the circle together. Fold the fabric exactly in half, pin the pattern on top and cut it out.
Trace a circle around the stool, on the fabric.
Neatly cut out the circles, on the line.
The fabric should hang over the edge, to seam it.
Pin the two halves of fabric together.
When you sew the pillow by hand:
Use the blanket stitch all around but leave a little part open, to stuff
or you can stitch the little cushion on the sewing machine, and leave a gap open

Blanket stitch the circle closed but for the opening.
Or stitch all around, but leave a stuff opening.
Fill the cushion with sheep wool.
Close the fill opening always with the blanket stitch, but when are machine stitching, you turn the cushion inside out before stuffing it!

Cut the same circle out of velvet.
Cut out the dots and sew them on.
Sew a small seam in the circle.
Lace elastic band through the seam.
Place the filling on the stool.
Pull the toadstool cover over the seat.
Your Toad Stool is ready!
