225 g butter (room temperature) 225g caster sugar
225g white caster sugar
1 large or 2 small free range egg(s) (room temperature)
1½ teaspoon vanilla essence
375 gram flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
100g milk chocolate
2 tablespoons chocolate sprinkles
bag of tum tum
white ready made icing (Dr Oetker)
Toadstools belong with Autumn ;) so we make cute toadstool biscuits today. Delicious with chocolate, sprinkles and sweets, this is the right way to celebrate Autumn is here! The biscuits are also a nice treat for a fall Birtday boy or girl, so save the recipe.
How to make these cute toadstool biscuits
Mix butter and sugar until creamy then mix in egg and vanilla.
Add sieved flour mixed with baking powder in parts.
Mix all together until it is well combined.
Then quickly knead the dough by hand until smooth.
Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator
Preheat the oven to 170°C
Roll the dough to 1 - 1.5 cm.
Cut out circles.
Bake the biscuits for 8 - 10 minutes.
Remove the biscuits from the oven when they are a light golden brown then leave them on the baking tray for a few minutes.
Allow the biscuits to cool completely on a wire rack.
Meanwhile melt the chocolate au bain marie.
Scatter chocolate sprinkles on the wet chocolate.
Allow the chocolate to set.
Stick on the stems with icing.
Then stick on the caps.
Finally stick the white sprinkles on the red caps.
The biscuits are ready, let's quicly make some tea!
