Shopping list
1 liter milk
2 cinnamon sticks, lightly crushed
1 tablespoon sugar candy
250 grams of dark chocolate, finely chopped
1 teaspoon biscuit spices
50 ml Frangelico or amaretto liqueur (optional)
100 ml whipping cream + 1 tablespoon sugar, beaten
marshmallows, to serve (optional)

Gingerbread hot chocolate home

Now that it's getting colder outside, hot chocolate is so delicious, especially if you make it into a Gingerbread Hot Chocolate. You can smell the fragrant spices when you come home and you know, we are going slowly in the direction of winter! But let's first enjoy the Fall!

How to make Gingerbread Hot Chocolate

Heat the cups in the oven.

Chop the chocolate finely.

Place the milk in a saucepan.

Add cinnamon sticks and sugar candy to the milk.

Bring the milk, while stirring, just to the boil.

Wait a second for the milk to steam.

Turn off the heat and remove the saucepan.

Remove the cinnamon sticks, discard them and gradually stir in the chocolate

Stir until all has melted.

Stir in the cookie spices.

Pour the chocolate into the hot cups.

Optional: after adding the cookie spices you can also stir in the liqueur

Top the chocolate with whipped cream.

Sprinkle grated chocolate on top.

Serve the Gingerbread Hot Chocolate with marshmellows. Happy Autumn!
