At Christmastime, we read Pippi en de dansende kerstboom (Pippi Longstocking and the Dancing Christmas Tree) to the mini-monsters from our 2007 book. It's a Pippi story by the world-famous Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren. Now, in November 2020, the 4th reprint will be released and that is not surprising. It's a beautiful story, which we are going to cozily read to the little monsters when they get home from school.
The fun, cheerful illustrations are made by Dutch illustrator Annet Schaap. There is a lot of energy and femotion in her drawings, just like in the character of Pippi. Really striking and a very good match with the story of Astrid Lindgren.
