Our young craft friend David - who currently moved to Belgium - comes to stay a week, super fun! Of course he may choose what we eat. Pizza it is, his favorite.
David lives in Belgium across an Italian pizzeria so we can not compete. But never mind, he likes frozen pizza best anyway, with salami is most delicious, from Dr. Oetker.
After eating some cardboard pizza from the freezer, we're sure! You can buy a packet of very handy Italian flour, knead it (it does not need to rise!) and you put on it whatever you like. So easy, healthy and really fresh you make your own pizza!
Weigh the right amount of flour.
Add the water to the bowl.
+ 45 ml olive oil + a pinch of salt.
Knead all together until combined.
Wash the herbs and cut them fine.
Knead the sage into the dough.
Press the dough flat on waxed paper.
Place the dough on a baking tray.
Brush 30ml olive oil on the pizza.
Cover the pizza in tomato slices.
Sprinkle chopped shallot and pancetta on it.
Top the pizza with sliced mozzarella.
Drizzle the pizza with olive oil.
Grind black pepper on the pizza.
Finally sprinkle on parsley.
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Bake the pizza for 20 minutes.
The pizza is ready when it's nicely browned and the cheese has melted.
Cut the pizza into wedges and serve it hot, straight from the oven.
