As promised, today we are making Bulbasaur, the favorite Pokémon of the mini-monsters. This Pokémon has cat ears and carries a lotus bud on its back. When Bulbasaur gets older the bud reveals a beautiful lotus flower. We're going to do our best to make Bulbasaur look like the real cartoon character!
How to make Bulbasaur
Start by kneading the clay until it is soft and smooth
Roll a lightblue ball.
Pull out Kitten ears.
Roll a roll-shaped body.
Roll 4 drop shaped paws.
Press the paws on the body
Press the head on the body.
Knead a piece of green clay until soft.
Roll it into a pointy egg.
Press in stripes, using a skewer.
Press the lotus on the back.
Push in eyes with a ball tool.
Black eyes, little pink mouth.
Colour the eyes and mouth with the acrylic paint markers and preheat the oven to 120°C
Paint white dots in the eyes.
Bake the Pokémon for 10 - 15 minutes.
Draw green dots on head and body.
Give Bulbasaur a pretty coat of varnish.
Give the varnish a few hours to dry completely.
Next week we will make the (for now) last 2 Pokémon, Charmander and Pikachu, see you then!
