Grimm's Candle holders
candles
This easy to make craft requires al lot of patience from little clayers. What's really nice is that you can light them on the autumn table already. We leave them for Halloween. Use air-drying clay but you need quite sturdy lumps of it, so it will take a few days tothotoughly dry. Turn the pumpkins occasionally so that the clay can dry thoroughly.
How to make the pumpkins
Knead a ball from clay and flatten it a bit.
Push the candle holder in the center of the clay.
Imprint lines in the clay using a wooden skewer.
Remove the candle holders and allow the clay to dry well.
After a day or three the clay is ready to be painted, depending on the size of the pumpkins
Give the pumkins a layer of orange paint.
Let the paint dry and give it an extra layer.
Cutt of some wire and stick it in the ribbon.
Stick it with glue, let the glue dry and roll it around a pen.
Place the curls in the pumpkins and push in the candle holders.
In Autumn you lit the candles in the late afternoon.
The pumpkin candle holders look pretty on your Autumn table.
But also at Halloween they do not look out of place!
Happy Thanksgiving!
