What do you need?
1 meter fiberfill, from the roll
½ meter cotton fabric
coloured felt
needle and matching color yarn
contasting yarn (to lace)
snaps
zipper 15 to 18 cm
hole puncher
coloured string

Today you totally finish the quietbook, you just need to roll up our sleeves once more! Start with the front of the book, page 1, in the same way as the other pages were made. Then fill the pages and sew them together with the blanket stitch. To 'bind' the book press in two holes in each page.

The back of the book will be made out of cotton fabric, of which you make a little pouch with a zipper. So all the loose stuff can be kept neatly together and at the same time toddlers learn how to use a zipper.

Cut from felt the sky and the grass lawn size 20x20 cm. (PDF)

Cut out Peppa's house and the other parts, sew them on.

Sew the kites, attach string and sew on snaps.

Now Peppa and George can fly their kites in the garden.

Fill up the pages with Fiberfill

Measure a square of 20x20 cm, place a page on it to get an exact fit.

Cut out all squares from Fiberfill, cut 1 square for 2 pages.

Measure the squares on each page and trim if needed.

How to sew the pages together with the blanket stich

Place the Fiberfill in between pages.

Pin the pages on each other.

Blanket stitch the pages all around.

The last page remains single for now.

'Bind the book'

Press holes into the pages with a puncher.

Lace a string through the holes.

Later on you can tie the string on top.

How to make the back of the book

Tear two squares off cotton fabric, 22x22 cm.

Draw a rectangle on the inside as shown in the photo.

Fold the rectangle in the width and make a small cut.

Cut the middle line open, from triangle to triangle.

First fit the zipper then cut the triangles open.

Fold the edges then pin the zipper into the hole.

Lace the zipper in place with a contasting colour yarn.

Stich the zipper in on the sewing machine, remove the lacing.

Pin the 1st square on the 2nd, the inside out.

Stitch the squares all around closed, then zig zag the edges.

Open the zipper and turn out the good side of the fabric.

The back is ready, but it needs ironing.

Blanket stitch the last page on the back.

Lace the string through the last page.

Only then you close the last side of the last page
