Today we're making a Rubik's Cube for a classmate who loves solving IQ puzzles. We also put an IQ puzzle into the surprise, with which we also stay close to the budget. Here in Rotterdam, De Zonnewijzer has a variety of small puzzle games!
You can download the worksheet for the Rubik's Cube, small on 1 A4 size paper or full size on 9 A4 papers. Those you have to stick together and trace on the cardboard, a piece of cake!
How to make a Rubik's Cube
Print the template and trace it on black cardboard.
Cut the cube out of the cradboard using a knife on a cutting mat.
Draw coloured cubes of x cm, 9 times in 6 colours.
Neatly cut out all squares and fit them on the cube.
Glue the squares neatly on the cube and let the glue dry well.
Stick the colours on each side randomly or 1 colour on each side.
Score the glueing strips with scissors and fold them.
Stick all the edges together and let the glue dry well.
Cut a piece of thick cardboard the size of the bottom.
Stick the cardboard on the bottom of the cube to make it firmer.
Set the Rubik's Cube aside and let the glue dry well again.
Now your Rubik's Cube is ready you write a name tag.
Present inside and name tag attached, you're done!
Happy Sinterklaas at school!
