250g all purpose flower
1 teaspoonl baking powder
150g buttter
150g sugar
1 free range egg
1 teaspoonl vanilla
fondant icing in various colours

How to make vanilla cookies

Stir the flour and baking powder until combined.

Mix butter and caster sugar together until creamy.

Add the egg and the vanilla essence to the buttercream.

Beat it in the butter cream until all is combined.

Beat the flour mixture in parts into the cream.

Beat until the dough resembles coarse crumbs.

Tip the dough from the mixing bowl.

Quickly knead the dough smooth by hand.

Wrap the dough ball in cling film.

Place the dough for min. 1h in the fridge.

Preheat the oven to 170°C and roll out the dough to 1cm thickness.

Cut out the space shapes.

Place the shapes for 10 minutes in the fridge.

Bake the biscuits golden in 8-12 minutes.

Allow the biscuits to cool on the tray, then on a wire rack.

If you want the rocket to stand cut the openings to fit

The biscuits are delicious left plain but even more beautiful with fondant icing!
