How to make a tiger!
Cut out the pattern parts.
Pin the pattern on the felt.
Cut out the parts.
Cut out the parts again.
Insert the needle from back to front.
Pull the thread, leave a small loop.
Stick the needle through the loop, pull tight.
How to start after tying on
Stick the needle from back to front.
Leave a loop open again and stick the needle through.
Pull the tread firmly and repeat the blanket stitch.
Continue almost to the end but leave a space open, for filling.
Leave the threads attached, to close the gap with later.
Fill the paws but not the tail, us a chopstick to push in the filling.
Close the openings using the balnket stitch and tie off firmly.
How to make the Tiger's stripes
The stitches we use to sew on the stripes are tiny basting stitches
Cut stripes out of black felt.
Sew them onto the tail and paws.
Sew the stripes all around.
After the legs we do the head.
Cut out stripes, the nose, snout & inner ears and the mouth, we embroider the eyes
Basting stitch the face on the tiger.
Embroider the eyes on the head.
Pin and sew the head parts together
Leave a fill opening, fill the head of the tiger and close the gap
Bast the stripes on the body then pin the tiger together,
Blanket stitch the body all around but leave the front open,
Fill the body using a chopstick and then close it.
Put 1 front leg between the body, sew it at the same time.
Sew all the loose body parts firmly on the body.
Now the tiger is finally completely finished!
