Shopping list
200g pancake flour mix
¼ teaspoon baking soda
200 ml buttermilk
½ a free range organic egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons of butter, melted

for Honey butter
60ml honey
60g butter
a pinch of cinnamon

Our last recipe is a recipe from Snowwhite herself, Buttermilk waffles with honey butter. It sounds as an antique and indeed it is, but it is very tasty. We do not eat all the butter, not because we don't want to, it tastes really good but unfortunately it is also very fattening.
 
We believe it won't hurt as now and then on occasion, because these waffles are really seriously delicious but is is not a breakfast for every Sunday, alas!

How to make Buttermilk Waffles with Honey Butter

Dissolve the baking soda in the milk then weigh the flour.

Stir flour, buttermilk and butter in a big bowl until combined.

Stir in the egg too then whisk until the batter is smooth.

Beat any lumps you see with the whisk until they disappear.

Spoon the batter into the waffle iron.

Bake the waffles until the steam dissolves.

Then the waffles are ready.

Now let's see if there wonders a little dwarf around who wants to make the honey-butter for me ...

Stir honey and cinnamon into the butter.

Place a spoon of honey-butter on the hot waffles.

Give (optional) any fresh fruit you have available on the side.
