In the garden now there are many webs with spiders in them, small spiders and large ones, with a cross on their backs. You see right away that Autumn is here. We make delicious cupcakes to go with our after-school tea, with fat spiders on top. Because it's Autumn and we like spiders a lot, as long as they stay outside ;))
How to make spider cupcakes
Mix butter and sugar creamy.
Add 3x1 egg and mix it in.
Mix in the vanilla too.
Fold in 1/3 of the flour.
Repeat it with another 1/3 flour.
Finally fold in the last 1/3 flour.
Then fold the milk into the batter.
The batter is ready, preheat the oven to 175°C
Place paper cases in your cupcake tin.
Fill up the cases to 3/4 with batter.
Bake the cupcakes in +/- 20 minutes golden.
First let the cupcakes cool in the baking tin.
Then cool the cupcakes completely on a wire rack and meanwhile make the spiders
Cut circles out of fondant icing.
Stick 2 mini-oreos on top.
Stick the eyes on the spiders.
Whip the cream with the sugar until stiff and spoon into a piping bag
Stick out circles using a straw, the spiders legs.
Stick 8 legs on each spider and you're done!
We wish everyone lots and lots of fun in the Fall!
