We want to decorate the windows for King's Day, but what should we make? Plenty of ideas go around! A crown? Party hats, horns, flowers? In any case, it should be orange and perhaps withsome red, white and blue. In any case, we make orange tulips and stars, we are good at that. We have done it before, so everyone can join in ;))
How to fold tulips and stars
Fold the orange paper diagonally in half.
Fold it in half again, from right to left.
Fold the paper open and fold both corners upward.
Fold 2 little corners backwards and stick them on.
Set the flower aside and make the green stem
Place the paper diagonal in front of you.
Fold it in half and fold it open again.
Fold both top sides to the middle line.
Fold both the bottom sides to the middle line.
Fold both top sides to the middle line again.
Turn the folding upside down and fold the bottom-side up.
Fold the folding craft now vertical upward.
Gently pull or bend the stem a little to the outside
Fetch the flower and stick it on the stem.
Allow the glue to dry well and make as many tulips as you like.
How to make a star
Take 2 sheets of orange kite paper, this star has 8 points
Fold the paper into 4 squares.
Cut the 4 parts loose.
Fold the first quarter in half
Fold the paper open again.
Fold left and right to the middle line.
Fold the top sides to the middle line.
Done! Fold another 7 points in the same way.
Glue the points overlapping on top of each other.
This pretty the star will look on your window!
How to make a second star
Place the square before you.
Fold it from bottom to top.
Fold from left to right.
Fold the paper open.
Fold the points of the 4 squares you see to the center, like in the last photo above here
Fold the bottom point diagonally upwards.
Stick both points in place.
Stick the points overlapping on top of each other.
The little monsters are still missing a crown for the king.preferably with gemstones, We actually have to think up a crown ourselves!
Fold 3 star points and fold a long rectangle in threes.
When the crown is assembled the little monsters may decorate it.
Stick all the foldings on your windows with a little tape and then ... Happy King's Day 2024!
