What do you need?
flat empty boxes of different size
cardboard
large computerprints of books
6 Styrofoam balls (big to small)
wire & pliers
pipe cleaners
skewers (to paint on)
hobby paint and paint brush
scissors
hobby glue
This is how you make a Bookworm
Put the styrofoam balls on a skewer and give them a nice color.
Place the painted balls on skewers in a jar and let them dry like this.
Cut a piece of wire to size.
Squeeze glue on the wire and thread all the balls on it.
Bend the animal in upright position, let the glue dry.
In the mean time cut off 4 pieces thick chenille, the legs.
Twist the legs in between the balls.
Open the paint tins and stir in the fat layer on top really well.
Stick two short pieces chenille in the head, like feelers.
Use white to paint eyes on the head and let them dry.
Decorate the body with coloured dots of paint.
Bend 'glasses' from wire and stick them onto the head.
Take two flat boxes and hide the present inside in one of them.
Draw pencil stripes on white paper to make the book pages.
Cut the paper strips out.
Squeeze some glue on three sides of the boxes.
Press the strips on the boxes and let the glue dry.
Glue the printed childrens book covers including the backs on the boxes. You find them on Google images, large.
Stick the book wurm on the books, make a funny poem and add it. Guaranteed succes!
