30g unsalted butter
2 Elstar apples
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons icing sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons single cream (light)
A lovely October dessert! A soft, warm apple with sticky butterscotch sauce, ice cream and double cream. Better not make it every weekend ;)
How to make butterscotch apples
Peel the apples, remove the cores.
Melt the butter in an ovenproof saucepan.
Fry the apples golden on low heat.
Add the icing sugar, stir it into the butter.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C
Add cinnamon to the apples.
Add 2 tablespoons of cooking cream.
Swirl the pan to blend the sauce.
Let the apples soften in the oven.
The apples should be soft in approximately 5 minutes
Plate up the apples and stir 2 tablespoons of cream into the sauce.
Place 1 scoop of ice cream and 1 spoon of cream beside each apple.
Finally, pour a generous amount of toffee sauce over the apples
