1 stale baguette
250 ml milk
3 free-range organic eggs
olive oil, for frying
icing sugar
cinnamon powder

Today we are not making French Toast but we make Spanish Toast: Torrijas with our lazy Sunday breakfast. For us it is very taste with cinnamon, the mini monsters prefer lots of icing sugar. A cup of coffee or a glass of milk to go with it and ... so yummie! Happy Sunday!

This is how - easy peasy - you make Torrijas

Cut the bread into 3 cm thick slices.

Measure the milk into a large, deep plate.
 
 

Beat the three eggs into the milk until it is well combined.

Soak the bread in the milk for 2-3 minutes, with both sides.

Heat the pan over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil

Drain the bread a little

Place it into the hot frying pan.

Fry the bread until golden brown and flip it.

Fry the other side until golden brown as well.

Serve the Torrijas immediately, dust with cinnamon and icing sugar.
