For Halloween we read Trixie the Witch's Cat to the mini monsters, a fun book that has been translated from English into Dutch. This book is not about the whitch but all about Trixie, the witch's cat. The well known children's author Nick Butterworth wrote and illustrated the book.
The perky cat Trixie is super cute, actually the whole book is beautifully illustrated. The mini-monsters just love Trixie! Extra fun to read this book to the mini-monsters around Halloween time, in October.
We're not a fan of wise lessons in (children's) books, although the story is told in a fun way. Trixie finds his one white paw very annoying, that is not right for a witch's cat and besides all other cats have four black paws. Trixie tries everything to make his paw black but how would that end?
