With our youngest mini-monsters, we make heart shaped surprises for their Mums, tomorrow it is Valentine's Day. They are first busy with the box in which we keep the beads. They pick out all the red and the pink ones, then we start stringing. We string the beads onto pipe cleaners, that's easy so they can do it themselves. Bend the end of the pipe cleaner a little bit upward, then the beads cannot come off while the kids string.
How to make the Valentine hearts
String the various beads on the pipe cleaners.
When the pipe cleaner is almost filled twist the ends together.
Bend the pipe cleaners with the beads in a heart shape.
Tie a matching ribbon to the beaded hearts.
We make a lot of hearts, red, pink or mixed together.
We hang the hearts on blossom twigs or they can hang on a bag.
