1 cake, homemade or purchased
250 grams mascarpone, room temperature
2 tablespoons of fine sugar
200 grams Tony's chocolate, to taste
lollipop sticks
piece of yellow fondant icing
golden sprinkles
For Eid al Fitr we make cake pops with stars and moons. They look very pretty with the golden sprinkles and they dole out handy. From a leftover cake (about half) we made 18 cake pops.
How to make cake pops for Eid al Fitr
Cut the cake in pieces.
Put it in the food processor.
Grind it until fine crumbs.
Put the crumbs in a bowl.
Add the cream to the crumbs.
Knead it until smooth.
Roll it into balls.
Place the balls in the fridge.
Chop some chocolate finely.
Melt it au bain marie.
Dip the sticks in chocolate.
Let the chocolate set in the refrigerator.
Cut moons out of fondant icing.
Melt the chocolate au bain marie.
Roll the cakepops in it.
Tap off the excess chocolate.
Press decorations on the chocolate.
Let the chocolate set.
Now we make some more cakepops with white chocolate.
