Cupcakes
100g butter
100g fine caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 free range egg
2 tablespoons milk
100g selfraising flour
100g icing sugar
2 tablespoons water
65g butter
pink food colouring
heart sprinkles
For little Valentines we make mini cupcakes with butter creme, quick, easy and in pretty pink!
How to make Valentines cupcakes
Preheat the oven to 170°C
Mix butter and sugar creamy.
Mix in the egg and vanilla.
Add the sieved flour and mix.
Mix in the milk as well.
Fill the cups 2/3 with batter.
Bake the cakes in 8-10 minutes golden.
Allow the cakes to cool in the cups.
How to make butter cream
Weigh/measure sugar and water.
Sieve the suger, add to the water.
Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Cream the butter.
Add the sugar/water, mix it in.
Mix in the food colour too.
Fill a piping bag with butter cream.
Pipe butter cream on the cupcakes, decorate with sprinkles.
