8 slices pork belly or bacon
200g self-raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon golden caster sugar
3 free range organic eggs, lightly beaten
25g melted butter, plus extra to fry in
200 ml milk
vegetable oil, for frying
icing sugar
maple syrup
honey
jam
raspberry/blueberry compote
strawberries
mango
banana
This year we're doing something very different with our Mother's Day breakfast. We bake pancakes with bacon and all kinds of tasty toppings, then it will also be a party for the little monsters! Everyone can choose what kind of goodies they like on the pancakes!
How to make a pancake sharing board
Normally we fry bacon in its own fat by letting it melt first, but the recipe says one tablespoon of oil and one of butter
Melt the oil and butter in a frying pan.
Fry the baking until it's crispy.
Do the same on the other side.
Drain the bacon om kitchen paper.
Keep it warm in the oven.
Melt the 25g butter,
Beat the eggs lightly.
Beat the melted butter, milk and vanilla into the eggs.
Pour the mixture into the flour while whisking.
Heat the pan with some butter and pour in the batter.
When little bubbles appear you flip the pancakes.
Keep the pancakes warm in the oven while you are baking.
We fetch the berry compote and then let's eat, enjoy!
