What do you need?
5 sheets of kite paper, light yellow 16x16cm
5 sheets of kite paper, dark yellow 16x16cm
5 sheets of kite paper, orange 16x16cm
a glue stick
On June 24 it's Saint John's Festival. Today we will show you how you can easily fold a beautiful sun, with just a kite paper block of 16x16cm and a glue stick. We stick the sun on the window, waiting for the real one, which will soon be shining more and more. (We certainly hope it will!)
This is how you fold a sun
Lay the first sheet of kite paper flat in front of you.
Fold the paper from bottom to top in half.
Fold the paper open and then fold it from right to left in half.
Turn diagonal and fold the four points to the center.
When folded you see an X in the middle.
Fold right and left to the middle line.
Turn the narrow point upward.
Fold the broad point upwards on the horizontal folded line
Fold the triangle in half on the vertical folded line.
Fold the other colours in the same way.
Until all 15 points are folded exactly the same.
Slide the points together at an angle with some glue in between.
Stick the points in a circle and let the glue dry completely.
Now you can stick the sun on the window.
Happy Spring!
