With this warm weather you quickly buy a bottle of water on the road, we do not throw the empties away. We can craft lots of things with them. For example, fun fireflies, for in the garden.
How to make Fireflies
Twist feelers and legs of pipecleaners on the bottles.
Spread a thin layer of Modpodge in the middle.
Cut off a narrow strip of coloured tissue paper.
Stick it around the bottle, fasten with Modpodge.
Brush Modpodge on the outside too.
Stick wobbly eyes on the caps.
Draw the wings on foam.
Cut out the wings.
With glue from the glue gun ...
... you stick on the wings.
Put glow sticks in the bottles.
The Fireflies are ready, we hang them outside so now we have to wait until it's dark!
