Our favorite occupation for Spring break is taking part in the Museum Youth University. Now we can hear you think: " It's vacation and we still go to school?" "Yes, but it's different!"
From January 26 up to and including to June 21, 2020, various Dutch museums organize a series of lectures for children aged 8 to 12 years. The lectures last an hour and always have a special or exciting subject that relates to the museum's collection area.
The people who read the lectures are scientific staff members of the museum, scientists from the academic world or experts from the field. During the lectures there is the possibility to ask anything you like to know. At the first reading you will receive a student card, which is stamped each time you attend.
Those who have attended enough lectures will receive a diploma at the end but subscribe quickly if you want to join because some colleges are full already.
