125g butter
60g caster sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
1 free range egg
175g all purpose flour
50g icing sugar
drops lemon juice + 1.5 tbspoon water
drops foodcolouring, yellow
small piece orange marzipan
icing pens, white & brown
In three weeks time it will be Easter but we are baking sweet ducklings already. Lovely with a cup of tea!
How to make sweet ducklings
Beat the eggs lightly.
Put butter and sugars in a bowl.
Mix until fluffy.
Add the beaten eggs slowly.
Add the flour in parts.
Knead the dough a minute by hand.
Cover it and place 1 hour in the fridge.
Preheat the oven to 175°C
Take the dough from the fridge.
Roll out to 1 cm thickness.
Cut out ducklings.
Place on waxed paper on a tray.
Bake the ducks in 8 minutes golden brown.
Stir water, icing sugar and lemon together.
Make it yellow, spread it on the biscuits.
Roll orange marzipan thinly.
Cut out little beaks.
Cut out feet too.
Stick them on with a drop water.
Give the ducklings eyes with icing pens.
Keep the ducklings in a tin so they stay fresh.
