75g butter (room temperature)
75g caster sugar
½ free-range organic egg (room temperature)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
125g Zeeland flour + extra
½ teaspoon baking powder
icing sugar, for sprinkling
various colours fondant icing
It's spring, the sheep are back outside in the meadow and they are also on our serving platter. We've baked small and larger biscuits with the little monsters, for Easter Sunday. The biscuits start disappearing, even before the doll's tea has been poured ;))
How to make these cheerful Spring biscuits
Download the recipe to make the dough
Fetch the dough from the fridge.
Knead the dough for a minute.
Roll the dough to 1cm thickness.
Cut out sheep.
Also cut out Spring flowers.
Place baking paper on the baking tray.
Place the biscuits on the baking tray.
Place the ttray with biscuits 30 minutes - 1 hour in the refrigertor, so they will not spread out during baking
Bake the biscuits 12-15 minutes on 175°C
While the biscuits cool we cut out the fondant icing figures
Roll the fondant thinly.
Cut out sheep.
Stick the fondant on the biscuits.
Brush some water on the back.
Press the fondant figures gently on the biscuits.
The Spring biscuits are ready!
Now we will make the dolls tea and have ourselves a little tea party!
