1 roll puff pastry
1 free-range organic egg yolk
a dash of milk or cream
75g of fine sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Another delicious Dutch biscuit, Sweet Pretzels it is today. With a roll of puff pastry from the refrigerator you can bake a cookie jar full and your cookies really taste much better than those from the supermarket.
How to make Dutch Sweet Pretzels
Roll out the puff pastry.
Cuit the dough into strips.
Bend in horse shoe shape.
Bend left end to middle.
Bend right end to middle.
Press the middle and flatten gently.
Place the biscuits on baking paper.
Slide the baking paper with the biscuits on a baking tray and put it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes
The biscuits rest a while.
Measure the sugar and cinnamon.
Stir until combined.
Loosen the yolk with milk.
Get the biscuits from the fridge and preheat the oven to 180°C / fan 160°C
Brush the biscuits with egg wash.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Bake the biscuits for 20 - 25 minutes.
Remove the pretzels from the oven when golden brown and cooked
Allow the pretzels to cool on a wire rack.
