For the mini-monsters, quickly ready is a very important factor, in a craft. If it takes too long for glue, clay and/or paint to dry, then the enthusiasm also dries up :( That also applies to knitting, crochet or sewing. That's why this bunny is a perfect knitting project for kids of today. They can do it all by themselves - with a tiny bit of help - and then the rabbit is ready!
How to knit a bunny
We use Julia knitting yarn from Zeeman with needles number 8
Tie on 24 stitches.
Knit 1 row in pearl.
Knit the next row.
Knit on in the same way.
Measure occasionally if you already have a square, ours measures 18x18cm
At 18x18cm you can tie off.
Turn you knitting and lace a triangle.
Place the filling on the triangle.
Thread the triangle with the same colour wool as you knitting, not orange, like you see in the picture
Pull the treads.
Sew the back of the bunny closed.
Fill the body.
Close the body of the bunny.
Tie the threads off firmly, stick through the filling and cut off the ends
Embroider the eyes and a pink little nose.
Finaly sew a tail on your bunny.
Have fun with it!
