carded wool, colours to taste
bowls, to put water in
soap
Felting stones is a fun, easy craft. Rub your hands in the warm soapy water over the wool until it shrinks, if you use 1 color. If you want a multi-colored stone, first roll the stone in the base color and then add the color(s), so that the wool can shrink together. Actually that's all.

How to felt stones
Roll your stones in karded wool.
Wrap the wool neatly and firmly.
Make a warn soapy bath.
Dip in your wool rolled stone.
Gently rub the stone with your hands and roll it between your hands
Soap the wool and rub the soap in lightly.
Rinse out the soap in warm water.
Squeeze the water out of the wool.
Now set your stones aside overnight, so they can dry completely
These stones will look good at a Dinosaur cave.
But also on the prairie, with the Indians :)))
