What do you need for Mr Bee & lady bug?
1 empty toilet roll
styrofoam ball
yellow crepe paper
black chenille sticks
4 flower binding wires
4 wobbly eyes
piece of black cardstock
piece of red cardstock
HEMA self adhesive photo mounts
These simple animal crafts are doable for pre-schoolers, they can (almost) do it all by themselves.
BEE is the simplest to make but LADYBUG is finished quickly too.
Preparation by an adult
- Print our template and trace it onto cardboard so the kids can cut it out by themselves.
- Prick holes for feelers or wings (in the toilet roll) and cut chenille to size.
- Make packets for a kids party, super handy!
Tip! Give kids a few little Hema Photo mounts for parts that needs to be stuck on, they are adhesive on both sides.
How to make Mister Bee and Lady Bug
Roll head & body in crepe paper, twist stripes around the body ending in leggs.
Stick wings into the body, feelers in the head and stick eyes on. Bee is done!
Cut out the body of Lady Bug, snip the back end, stick on top of each other.
Cut and stick on wings, dots, legs, feelers and eyes. Lady Bug is ready too, we quickly hang them in the window.
