Making a mobile is a fun craft and not difficult at all. It takes a while before it's done, but it is worth it! Today we start with the tiger. Print our template or draw animals yourself!
How to make a tiger
Print the template then cut out all body parts.
These are all the body parts of the tiger.
Pin the pattern on double felt.
Cut out all pieces, exactly the same.
Cut out all the other parts too.
Assemble the animal, check if you got all parts.
Glue the little parts onto the tiger's body, stripes on it's tail.
Glue paws, tail and ears in between the head and the body.
So they do not shift when you start sewing the tiger.
Pin front and back from the head and body together.
We keep the 'good' side on the outside because we will not turn the tiger. Leave a small opening to stuff the tiger.
Stitch the head and body halves together. Use yellow yarn if the stitches must be invisible.
Fill head and body with fiberfill and close fill opening in the body.
Slide the head over de body and sew it firm, at te same time closing the opening.
Glue remaining stripes and other parts on.
Draw a face on the tiger with a textile marker.
Your first animal, the tiger is all ready now!
Make monkey and elephant in the same way.
Next time we show you how to make more animals and finish the mobile.
