How fun is it to make your own fairy door? So fun! But a Christmas fairy door, yes that is of course the ultimate fun! We're going completely overboard with this and the mini-monsters love it too! Here you find the miniature doorknobs we used and also other models.
How to make a Christmas Fairy door
Saw a piece of plywood of 10 x 15cm.
Measure on the relief slat 2 times 15 and 1 time 10cm.
Saw the 2 pieces of 15 cm from the relief slat.
Also saw off a piece of 10cm from the same slat.
Miter the slats so that they connect at the top.
On a piece of plywood of 5 cm wide, mark 4 pieces of 2 cm.
Saw off the pieces of plywood using the mitre box.
Sand all the parts of the door until smooth.
Later on the door will be glued together like this.
First you saw off a stoop of 5 cm long.
Paint the slats around the door white, let the paint dry.
You paint the door in one go
First stick the plywood pieces on the door.
Paint the door when the glue has dried.
Paint the stoop light grey.
Let all the paint and glue dry overnight before you continue
Collect all the parts of the Christmas door.
Assemble the Christmas door neatly.
Get the doorknob and cut off the tiny nails.
Stick the doorknob on the door by using a skewer.
Glue with the help of the skewer or tweezers the nail heads into the doorknob
To let the glue to dry completely put on a glue clamp.
Make some tiny things, to put on and at the door.
Merry Christmas!
