After the fall pruning, we always have a lot of branches. We usually cut some twigs short, so we can craft with those later. Today we would like to make a raft using the twigs. A raft that can really sail then we can put the Duplo divers on it, nice! We saw 10 thin twigs and 2 thicker ones.
How to make a raft out of twigs
Saw the twigs in more or less the same size.
Piece the raft together to check if you have sawn enough twigs.
Tie a long string on the first 'tree trunk'.
Take the second one, twist the string in 8 shape around both twigs.
Continue until all twigs are tied up.
Tie the other side in the same way.
Leave the string hang on the raft.
Or tie on more string.
Turn the string around the thick twig.
Stick it through the thin twigs.
Coninue this way on both sides.
Tie the ends of the string firmly together then cut of long ends
The raft is ready, find two more twigs to row with.
Now to put it to the test! Yes, the raft floats!
Happy Boating!
