If you have just read a beautiful book about knights, you immediately want to swing around with a sword of course! Don't worry, because we happen to have a great box in the house. We get started right away, because Knights can be impatient sometimes!

Here is how you make a knight's sword

Draw a simple sword on cardboard.

Cut the sword out using a cutting mat and a stanley knife.

We make the sword from two parts for extra firmness.

Trace the cut out sword on a piece of cardboard.

Cut out the second sword too.

Paint both sword halves silver.

Cover both halves in glue, when dry.

Place clothes pegs on the sword, allow the glue to dry.

Paint the handgrip brown like wood.

Allow the paint to dry thoroughly again.

A small knight gets impatient and grabs the sword.
