Here is how you make a knight's sword
If you like you can check out our PDF with a small sword first
Draw a simple sword on cardboard.
Cut the sword out using a cutting mat and a stanley knife.
We make the sword from two parts for extra firmness.
Trace the cut out sword on a piece of cardboard.
Cut out the second sword too.
Paint both sword halves silver.
Cover both halves in glue, when dry.
Place clothes pegs on the sword, allow the glue to dry.
Paint the handgrip brown like wood.
Allow the paint to dry thoroughly again.
A small knight gets impatient and grabs the sword.
But we want to decorate the handle with thread and stones.
Now the sword is worthy of a brave knight!
Next week we will make a shield
