It's almost Earth Day and today we sow herbs. The mini-monsters learn how plants grow from seeds and that you can eat those plants, if you take good care of them! In addition, we will also make a super nice present with it, for mom, on Mother's Day. So two birds with one stone :)) We'll keep the gift a secret for a while, but if we want to see herbs in May, we have to start sowing now!

How to sow herbs

This is how your box looks now.

Cover with a thin layer of soil.

Write the names on the sticks.

Push the sticks in the holes.

Place your box in a container with a thin layer of water so the cardboard gets damp, also moisten the top layer of the soil regularly

Place your box in a warm, light spot, but not in full on sunshine.

Now we and the pots have to wait for the seeds to germinate.

After just a few days... you see the first green!

  • When tiny plants grow from the seeds (with at least 3 leaves), you may repot them
  • But for now you have to check the soil is moist bur not wet!
  • When little sprigs of green appear you should remove them from direct sunlight

Wishing you a lot of gardening fun!
