What will we sew?
Cherry tomatoes
Radishes
Spring onions
Mini bell peppers
courgettes
sun flowers
After a week or two you see the first leaves already>>
It is the end of March and high time we started sowing for the vegetable garden. Puk is helping, which is great! We have all the handy items from the Shopping Tips ready at hand. We also bought organic potting soil, so we can start right away. Puk is filling the watering can, and then we can open the seed packets. Do that one by one, though, otherwise you might get confused! :))
How you sow for the vegetable garden
Puk fills the cups up to 2/3 with potting soil.
He starts with the cherry tomatoes and places seeds on the soil..
Then Puk fills two pots up to 2/3 and put sunflower seeds on top.
Then he fills up the pots with potting soil, almost to the rim.
He also fills up the cups with potting soil.
Water the soil when all the seeds are covered.
Not to much, just moist the potting soil!
Write a label for each pot that's ready and stick it in.
Place the pots in a box, with old news paper in it, to prevent leaking.
Do this until around mid-May, when the Ice Saints have passed and you can plant the seedlings in the garden
Wishing you lots of garden fun!
