We baked another six cupcakes with yesterday's batter and we still had some left over for two plain cakes. Now we make some more butter cream in blue, green and yellow for the Dino cupcakes, the same way we did yesterday. This recipe has half the ingredients, if you want to make just the Dino's.
How to make Dino cupcakes
Stir the cold batter until it feels supple again.
Fill the paper cupcake cases up to 2/3..
Bake the cupcakes for 20-25 minutes, preheat the oven to 170°C.
Allow the cupcakes to cool completely in the baking tin.
Meanwhile make the butter cream
Beat butter, sugar, milk and vanilla creamy.
Beat until all is incorporated well.
Divide the butter cream over 3 bowls.
- Stir the food colouring one drop at a time into the creams until they have nice even colours
- Spoon the creams into the piping bag, try to place the colours somewhat next to each other
When you twist the pipingbag the colours blend.
Pipe long snakes on the cupcakes.
Stick smarties, glitter and dino's on top.
A great dinosaur roar and then there were only 4 cupcakes, happy first school day!
