Today we have a cute little book for the littlest mini-monsters called Where's Mrs Queen? by Angela P. Arrhenius. Who was stronger than the British Queen Elizabeth ll? This book has not been translated into Dutch, like almost every other book by Angela P. Arrhenius. Probably because the pictures are so typically British.
You see the British Queen on the cover, inside a Trollybus Driver and a Guard for example. Even the letterbox will not be recognized by a Dutch toddler. But this won't spoil the fun that mini-monsters have with the book!
The images are simple and sweet, the text is brief and keeps repeating. The most fun for the little ones are the large flaps of felt, that are inside the sturdy cardboard book. You have to flip them back to see where everyone is.
It's actually a game in a story. At the end of the book the question is: And where are you? and at that moment the mirror comes into play, there you are! :)) Great fun!
