Today you find a picture book with a true story on snazzie. When Hurricane Florence hit the North and South Carolina's in the USA in September 2018, the devastation was massive, the damage totaling to more than $ 24 billion dollars.
Everything was flooded, houses were uninhabitable and without power. 54 people did not even survive. President Donald J. Trump's visit to sympathize with the people there turned into a fiasco. His statements stunned the whole world!
The whole mess resulted in the picture book Whose boat is this boat? Not exactly a children's book but a funny picture book about (surely) the greatest dummy in the world. Everything that comes out of his mouth in this book he thought up and said out loud all by himself, so this is a true story.
The crew of the Late Show have made a book of it, together with presenter Stephen Colbert. With the proceeds of this book, the people of the Carolina's get at least some help. The President of the USA threw some rolls of kitchen paper at them (???).
Later in the year, the people of the Late Show also made a cartoon video to promote the book. The voice of President Trump in the video belongs to Stephen Colbert.
The book is brilliant and you help the people in the devasted area's with your purchase. You can laugh out loud in gloomy days. It could all be worse! At least if you don't live in the United States ...
