Today we bake winter biscuits, we have a recipe for gingerbread. We choose trees and we make them extra wintery with icing. Snow and winter fun, that's what you would like to experience in winter, but so far we doesn't seem to get our wish. Then we'll create a wintery atmosphere ourselves at home.
How to make gingerbread winter trees
Put butter and sugar in a large bowl.
Mix it together until creamy.
Mix in baking soda, syrup and eggs.
Add the cinnamon powder and ginger powder to it.
Sift in the flour.
Bring it together with a wooden spoon.
Knead it briefly by hand.
Roll the dough into 2 balls and wrap both in cling film.
Let the dough chill for at least 30 minutes.
Roll the dough to 1.5cm thickness.
Cut out little pine trees.
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C Fan
Place the biscuits on a baking tray with waxed paper on it.
Bake for 10-12 minutes in the middle of the oven.
Allow the biscuits to cool a few minutes on the baking tray first.
Move to a wire rack to cool completely.
Sift the icing sugar into a medium bowl.
Gradually stir in some water and drops of lemon juice.
Spoon the icing into a piping bag with a tiny hole.
The little monsters help out with piping the icing on :))
We place the little trees in a winter wonderland, just for fun!
And then we eat all the pine trees with great pleasure!
