Our mini monsters love hedgehogs and ever since we saw one in the garden, they often talk about hedgehogs. On Saint Martin, on November 11, we will join the Lichtjesavond lantern parade of Trompenburg Tuinen, so we have to make a lantern quickly! What kind of lantern do we make, with which we walk (at 7 p.m.) through the gardens of Trompenburg in the dark night? A hedgehog lantern of course! :)
Here is how you make a hedgehog lantern
We made a full size template for you, print it out and stick it together with tape
Trace the template on cardboard.
Cut out the lantern.
Score the lantern's folding lines.
Fold the edges sharply.
Included in the template is a hedghog shape.
Trace the shape and cut it out of cardboard.
Trace the shape on the lantern and cut it out.
Stick kite paper behind the cut outs.
Draw a heart and a small circle and cut out.
Stick them on the hedgehogs, draw a face.
Puk sticks dried leaves on the lantern.
Glue the lantern together and let it dry well
Strengthen the bottom with cardboard.
Strengthen the top and the folding lines.
Prik holes and stick wires through the holes.
Choose a light, an old-fashioned tea light shines more beautiful, but a LED light is safer, make your own choice
Saw the stick to size and drill a hole in the stick using a fret drill
Glue a hook in the stick to hang the lantern on.
Puk is very happy with his hedgehog lantern.
We can hardly wait for friday night!
