How to make an Easter Nest

a delicious and pretty sponge cake!
With chocolate, With whipped Cream, Easter, and Cakes

Shopping list
the 2 chocolate sponge cakes
for the filling
250 ml whipped cream
2 tablespoons of fine sugar
the chocolate ganache
to assemble the Easter Nest
the chocolate shards
cocoa, to taste
chocolate eggs (the more the better)
optional: finely chopped pistachios

Today it is Easter Day and we are out of bed early, we help the Easter bunny hide the eggs every year so we can't sleep in! If we're up anyway, we'll quickly finish the Easter nest. Then the mini-monsters can decorate the cake with eggs in a litlle while.

How to make an Easter Nest, out of your sponge cakes

Whip the double cream with the sugar until stiff peaks appear, spoon the cream into a piping bag

Fetc the cakes and spread ganache over the first one.

Pipe on the cream and press the second sponge gently on top.

Spread also ganache on top of the cake and all around the edge.

Place the cake in the fridge if you also wait for little monsters.

Fetch the chocolate shards.

Press the shards gently around the cake.

Sprinkle the top of the cake with cocoa.

The cake is ready to be decorated with the chocolate eggs.

Finaly we place a little chick in the Easter Nest.
